{"id":2040,"date":"2017-05-26T11:30:01","date_gmt":"2017-05-26T10:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stephenbax.net\/?p=2040"},"modified":"2017-05-26T11:33:38","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T10:33:38","slug":"ted-ed-vieo-about-teh-vboynich-manuscrupt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stephenbax.net\/?p=2040","title":{"rendered":"TED-ED video about the Voynich manuscript"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m pleased to say that there is a new educational video about the Voynich manuscript which I was invited\u00c2\u00a0to script,\u00c2\u00a0published by the prestigious TED-ED group:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most mysterious book - Stephen Bax\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8NS4CbBJQ84?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It was published only yesterday and already has 382,753 views, which is gratifying <a class=\"eaffe\" href=\"https:\/\/doedlinger-erdbau.at\/%ec%96%b8%eb%a6%ac%ec%96%bc-%ec%8a%a4%ed%8a%9c%eb%94%94%ec%98%a4-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">Unreal Studio<\/a>. (My nephew told me that it is number 8 in the list of Trending YouTube videos worldwide, but you can tell the level of competition in that race by the fact that it is being beaten by <em>&#8216;I got stung by bees 3000 times&#8217;<\/em> and <em>&#8216;How to cut and color your own hair&#8217;<\/em>!)<\/p>\n<p>I was asked to script it some months ago, and the process of working with the TED-ED editors and animators was an inspiring one <a class=\"eaffe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marketing-pmi.it\/%ec%9a%b0%eb%b6%84%ed%88%ac-%ed%86%b0%ec%ba%a3-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">Ubuntu Tomcat<\/a>. It might not be a perfect representation of the manuscript and people&#8217;s research\u00c2\u00a0on it, but that is partly because we were given tight time limits and editorial guidelines <a class=\"eaffe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.icmcopiers.com\/%ed%95%9c%ea%b5%ad%ec%97%90%ec%84%9c-%ea%b5%ac%ea%b8%80%ec%96%b4%ec%8a%a4-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">\ud55c\uad6d\uc5d0\uc11c \uad6c\uae00\uc5b4\uc2a4 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. However, any errors or omissions are of course my own responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I was not able\u00c2\u00a0to do was to name names of current scholars such as <a href=\"http:\/\/voynich.nu\/\">Ren\u00c3\u00a9 Zandbergen<\/a>,, whose work has been one of the (few) real contributions to our understanding of the manuscript in the last 100 years <a class=\"eaffe\" href=\"https:\/\/amoyxm.com\/183202.html\">\ud3ec\ud1a0\uc0f5cs3 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. However, in the full lesson itself, I was able to\u00c2\u00a0mention his work and refer people to his and other websites.
