This fascinating manuscript <\/a>at the University of Vermont\u00c2\u00a0was brought to my attention by David Wiffler on this website, who said:<\/p>\n

“There is a plant here:https:\/\/www.jasondavies.com\/voynich\/#f33r\/0.966\/0.479\/1.70<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0that has two human heads attached to the root system Gravity download<\/a>. There is a similar thing in an old Italian herbal here:\u00c2\u00a0http:\/\/cdi.uvm.edu\/collections\/item\/mrmc002&page=1&size=<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0(you will have to go to the page and, using the box in the top right hand corner, jump to page 70).”<\/em><\/p>\n

“This Italian herbal is the closest match I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve seen for the Voynich m \ub871 \ub9ac\ube0c \ub354 \ud0b9 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. If you put the two manuscripts side by side the similarity of the colours is quite remarkable, and the root systems look sometimes as if they are from the same artist Ezrak<\/a>. Though of course they are different in many ways as well.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Regarding the plant on page 70, Marco Ponzi later commented:<\/p>\n

“unluckily the writing of this Italian manuscript is so bad that I find it almost unreadable Spotify app<\/a>. But I think the first plant (pg. 70) is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Allium Sativum\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (garlic). The first word could be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Alio\u00e2\u20ac\u009d:<\/em><\/p>\n

The bottom half of the page has been transcribed in a more readable hand: it presents a recipe for the cure of headaches similar in style to Albus\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 translation of the last page of the Voynich manuscript.”<\/em><\/p>\n
